Call for Papers: Western Perceptions of East European Identities
Deadline for abstracts: November 15, 2003

Southwest/Texas Popular Culture/American Culture Association 25 Annual
Conference
(meeting jointly with the National PCA/ACA)
San Antonio, Texas
April 7-10, 2004

Panels now forming on the topic of Western Perceptions of East European
Identities.  Papers and ready panels examining any aspect of the East-West
relationship in Eastern Europe through film, literature, popular culture,
history, art, photography, journalism, etc. are welcome.  Comparative and
interdisciplinary papers are especially encouraged.

Graduate students are also particularly welcome with award opportunities
for best graduate student papers.

Inquiries and/or 250-word abstracts may be sent to Marina Antic at the
e-mail or address below.  Please include a short biographical sketch with
your proposal.
