The University of Washington Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures
is hiring a Lecturer in Russian.  The position will be a three-year
renewable contract, with the possibility of promotion to Senior Lecturer;
initial appointment will run from September 2005 through June 2008.  Summer
employment is optional for additional salary. Responsibilities will include
teaching Russian at various levels, supervising departmental TAs and
coordinating first-year Russian.  We are seeking an enthusiastic native or
near-native speaker of Russian with a strong interest in language pedagogy
and substantial teaching experience that includes some generation of course
materials and experience working with other instructors and/or supervising
TAs.  A Ph.D. is preferred. Please submit your curriculum vitae, a summary
