In this context, one such form, Yezhovshchina, might be considered as a 
borrowing from Russian into English (565 Google entires in transliteration, 
only 687 in Cyrillic).

There's an even an article titled ЕЖОВЩИНА В ЦРУ, fairly close to the top of 
the Cyrillic listings.

In view of the lurid accusations currently being hurled around in US and 
Canadian politics, I'm surprised the word hasn't gained a little more 
traction.
