Dear colleagues:

A warm thank you to those who responded to my call for suggestions to improve the forthcoming second version of my Norton Critical Edition of Tolstoy's Short Fiction. I appreciate all the comments: I now am busy rereading Tolstoy stories and searching out additions to the apparatus.

One further question: does anyone know of a good article on Tolstoy's "Prisoner of the Caucasus" that compares it to the Bodrov film made in 1996?
