Call for nominations for the 2006 AATSEEL book prizes

The Publications Committee of AATSEEL is soliciting nominations for its 
annual awards competition. As in the past, awards will be given: for the 
best book of literary or cultural scholarship; for the best translation 
from a Slavic language into English; for the best book of linguistic 
scholarship; and for the best contribution to language pedagogy. For the 
2006 competition, we will be considering books published in 2004 and 
2005 for the prizes in literary/cultural scholarship, linguistics and 
translation. For the prize in language pedagogy we will consider books, 
as well as textbooks, computer software, testing materials, and other 
instructional tools, published in 2003, 2004 and 2005. To make a 
nomination in any of these four categories, please send one copy to: 
Professor Michael Gorham, Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies, 
University of Florida, 263 Dauer Hall, Gainesville, FL 32611-7430. For
