Nachalo Book 1?

Can any one tell me whether Nachalo Book 1 (second edition) is intended for one
semester or two?

Nachalo 1 is listed at $120.  If both books (1&2)are intended for 1st year, I
figure that requires students to spend $240 for the complete first-year program. 
Can that possibly be right?
