problems with cyrillic o line when using a Mac

The Linguist's software is probably not part of the
solution. 

It may be an encoding issue for the WWW, though I
don't know about the missing jats. The older texts are
probaly in KOI-8 encoding. 

Go to View —>Text Encoding and flip through the 4
options until the text is readable. That's what I do.
