Passing of Dr. Charles McDowell, U. Of Texas - Arlington

Dear Colleagues:

It was with great sorrow that I inform you on the passing of Dr.
Charles McDowell, Professor Emeritus of Russian at the University of
Texas - Arlington. Dr. McDowell founded the Soviet and East European
Center at the University of Texas-Arlington  and served in numerous
posts at UTA  for over 40 years until his retirement last year.
