The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures of the University of 
Chicago welcomes applications for a full-time, open-rank, non-renewable 
lecturer position in Russian literature for the 2007-8 academic year. 
Specialization is open, but applicants will be expected to teach a range of 
courses in Russian literature at both graduate and undergraduate levels and 
one introductory course in the humanities for first-year students in the 
College. Applicants must be at least ABD, though candidates with Ph.D. in 
hand will be preferred. Precise title of the position will depend upon the 
successful candidate's qualifications and experience. Please submit at least 
3 letters of recommendation, a CV, transcripts, samples of scholarly 
writing, and a cover letter to:
