Whitman in Ukraine

Regarding Polish translations of Whitman, Czeslaw Milosz translated a
couple of poems of Whitman between 1946-50 and then translated many more
later while he was at Berkeley after 1961. I am not sure offhand when or
where or if these were originally published, but you can find the
translations in Milosz, _Mowa wiazana_ (Olsztyn: Pojezierze, 1986) (I
think this came out in an earlier edition from PIW).

I will copy Dr. Kenneth Price, the Archive co-director on this message -- I'm sure he'll be interested in this as well. Chukovsky mentions at least one Polish translation in his 1919 book, but I'm not at the archive at this moment, and can't tell who it is he mentions.
