Dear SEELANGERS,

I'm posting this for Gerry Kennedy, who recently contacted me about it.

He is writing a book and hoping to make a radio documentary that includes a
study of Ethel Voinich and her Russian connection with the famous novel
Ovod. He has already done a lot of research on her, but would like to find
out more about how Russians remember Ovod and its influence at school, the
films and operas etc. He also wants to retrace some of her footsteps when
she visited dissidents and smuggled anti-tsarist books into Russia in 1887.

Does anyone have any connections or knowledge relating to this area? He's
planning to go to Moscow and St Petersburg in the near future and would like
to meet and interview people. Any information would be gratefully received.

Please reply off list to: ggkennedy at googlemail.com

Many thanks.
