current situation and foreign study

These are valid concerns, but I think it's probably too early to tell just
how far this conflict is going and what the fallout may be when it comes to
study in Russia. If my students were leaving for Russia next week, I'd
cancel, but if they were going in the fall, I'd wait a little to see if
things calm down.  The relevant issue is how much this turns into a
US-Russia issue, as opposed to a Russia-Ossetia-Georgia issue. Enough, I
don't want to veer into politics!
