Pushkin and Karamzin as historians

Dear Robert and all,
Thank you for your recommendation, surely I will include it in my
reading list.
There are many arguments supporting the role of Karamzin (whose role,
I assume, do not need any additional support). The highly significant
place of Pushkin's historical studies do not change (and do not
require to modify) the fact that Karamzin was a first professional
historicist in Russian culture - not just a great writer. Our look
that will come a posteriori cannot alter this fact.
