I am writing with good news from the site of the Baltic Studies
Summer Institute (BALSSI) 2009, the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Thanks to external grants, we will be able to reduce the program fee for BALSSI 2009 participants.

*For graduate students in any field of eastern European studies who want
to learn Estonian, there will be a complete tuition waiver (funded
by generous support from the American Council of Learned Societies);

*For graduate students who want to learn Latvian or Lithuanian,
there will be a substantial reduction in program costs;

*For Wisconsin resident undergraduates, out-of-state students, and the general public
who want to study any of the three languages being offered, there
will also be a substantial reduction in program costs.

For more information, please contact Nancy Heingartner, BALSSI
Program Coordinator (Contact information below).
