Here, here. I once compared notes with my Palestinian born colleague and
was surprise to find lots of similarities between Russian cultural
traditions and Arabic cultural traditions.

Krylov was anecdotally famous for not following this rule:

    ? ??? ??????! ????? ?? ?? ???????? ??? ? ?????????? ?????????
??????? ????????? ?? ??? ?? ???? ? ??????????? ????? ????????? ?
?????????. ?????? ?? ?????? ???? ???????. ????????? ????? ????? ????.
?????? ?? ??????????? ?? ?? ?????? ?????. "?? ???????? ???? ???, ????
?????????, - ?????? ??? ?????????. - ??? ??????????? ???????????
??????????? ????". - "?? ? ??? ?? ?????????!" - ??????? ?? ? ?????????
??????????? ???? ?? ???????. ?????? ???????, ??? ?? ???? ??????? ???
????????, ?????, ??? ????????, ???????? ??????????? ?????? ?????. ??? ?
???????? ?? ?????? ????????. ?? ????? ????? ???????? ? ??????? ???????
?????????? ?? ??????? ?? ? ???? ????? ??????????? ??????????????????
?????? ???? ??? ????????? ????? ?????????? ?? ????, ??? ??? ????
????????, ?????? ? ?? ????? ?????????? ??????????????.
