Thank you for the link. I will forward it to him at once. His posting appears suspicious to me as well. One of my friends, however, knows him personally, and that was the only reassurance I was able to get.

Anyone who doesn't know him personally cannot help him in the matter
of the lost passport. In fact his request to strangers sounds very
strange, to say the least.
