Gazenei?

Dear list,

A couple of people have suggested the German name Haseney, which could be a
possibility.  I'll let you know if I come up with anything conclusive.

The name Gazeneia could come from the Jewish name Hazan or Hazzan.

A hazzan is the overseer of a synagogue.
