The Prokudin-Gorskii collection is available through the Library of
Congress as well at:
http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/empire/
They set it up into various themes,
but it also works as a searchable database
http://www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/prok/
A book was published several years ago, very worth while, I believe
the title was _Photographs for the Tsar_ That included a 1904 color
photograph of Tolstoy, which I don't see in the LC database.
