The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on the brink of dissolution

Dear Colleagues,

Due to a short-sighted decision of the Bulgarian government, the most
eminent research institution in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Academy of
Sciences, may soon become a fact of history. Bulgarian scholars, who will
be demonstrating today in the streets of Sofia, have posted a petition
online (in Bulgarian) that some of you may wish to sign.
