Grossman's Life and Fate

Dear SEELANGers,

Have any of you taught Grossman's Life and Fate in English in an 
undergraduate class? If so, did you teach the entire book or just parts 
of it? I've taught small portions of it before, but am considering 
teaching the entire book next fall and was wondering, for those of you 
who may have done it, how did it go over with students? Were they 
able to keep up with reading the whole thing?
