[Valentino, Russell]

The winning joke, "I needed a password eight characters long so I picked Snow White and the Seven Dwarves," actually not only doesn't work in Russian, it doesn't work in many other languages either. I'm curious to know of any other languages that conflate character in the sense of "symbol" and character in the sense of "personage" (as in a fictional character) the way English does. Are there any?
