Books, articles on Tolstoy's legacy?

Dear SEELANGtsy,

I have been looking for some good readings on Tolstoy's extra-literary  
legacy around the world and perhaps have been looking in the wrong  
places.  If you have any
recommendations, I'd very much appreciate hearing about them.  I will  
need to assign them for a class in English translation, but am also  
interested in Russian-language
sources for myself.
