For those who don't know it, and without the Gros Ventre forms themselves,
the Gros Ventre term for 'Mexican' is literally 'bread person'.  This is
commonly assumed by speakers to refer to tortillas, but Allan suggests it
is a fossil reference to Paincourt, meaning 'someone from the Spanish city
of Paincourt'.
