RESEARCH POSTS

APHASIA AND APRAXIA FOLLOWING CVA IN BSL USERS
A project funded by the Wellcome Trust

Post 1 - £17,869 - £23,949     Ref: CLIN/016
Post 2 - £17,869 - £19,704     Ref: CLIN/017
Both posts are fixed term for 18 months in the first instance

Applications are invited for two research posts in conjunction with
the above grant. The project aims to 1) identify the prevalence and
outcome of stroke in the British Deaf Community and to 2)
undertake detailed assessment of resulting linguistic,
communicative and movement impairments in selected individuals.

Applicants should have relevant research experience and a higher
degree in an appropriate subject for Post 1 and a degree in an
appropriate subject for Post 2. Fluency in BSL will be an advantage.

Applications are particularly encouraged from members of the Deaf
community.
