In her thesis on Hausa SL, Constanze Schmaling gives an account on
classifiers in this SL (Nigeria). Reference:

Schmaling, Constanze (1997)Maganar hannu: "Language of the hands"- A
descriptive analysis of Hausa Sign Language.University of
Hamburg,dissertation

It might have been published in book form by now as well. The part on
classifiers is about 7 pages. I have her dissertation here, so if you would
like a copy of these pages, just let me know.
Bye, Victoria Nyst
