DCAL Research Centre
Research assistant (2 year post) for research project on Deaf children's
early theory of mind abilities, based at City University London

The study focuses on the early communication between adults and children
which involves conversation about the mind and mental states of others
(theory of mind). The researchers are interested in what kind of early
communication occurs in families with deaf children which leads children
to develop theory of mind later in development (cf. research by Elizabeth
Meins). The research assistant will recruit deaf children (aged 18-30
months) of both deaf and hearing families and visit families in their
homes to film spontaneous interaction between parents and children
