Hi Valerie, thanks, your support will be welcome if we can find anyone
who will attend or workshop and lead a session on SignWriting. We should
continue talking about this off-list.

Hello Ulrike, Michael, Gerard and everyone -

I noticed your messages this morning, and I don't want to burden you
with a long discussion of SignWriting and its abilities...

I want to thank Gerard, for his unending and enthusiastic support...We
are very fortunate to be working with Gerard, who is a member of the
Wikimedia Foundation. Our SignWriting organization has already
developed software that makes it possible to write directly in
SignWriting symbols on the web, (SignPuddle,
http://www.signbank.org/signpuddle)
, and right now, there are documents being written and posted in
around 20 signed languages...and more countries are welcome to start
anytime for free...and a new version of our software, which will be
posted on Source Forge later in 2008, will make it possible to write
Wikipedia articles directly in the handshapes, movements and facial
expressions of signed languages...

So eLearning of different formats could benefit from a written form
for signed languages, with the software to back it up...If this will
be of value to your conference, I would be happy to donate materials,
software and technical support to help any project...and we can meet,
using American Sign Language and English, face to face, on videophone,
telephone or Skype. My contact information is below in my signature.
Anyone right now can contact me for an appointment. I would love to
meet you all face to face! And this kind of communication can be
offered to people attending the conference...

Thanks for your time in reading this message!

And have a great weekend -

Val ;-)
