Second Call for Papers

 

The Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies at the Chinese University
of Hong Kong is pleased to announce the "3rd International Conference on
Sign Linguistics and Deaf Education in Asia" in Hong Kong from 30th Jan to
2nd Feb 2013. This is the third conference organized to promote the
development of research on Sign Linguistics and Deaf Education in Asia. The
forthcoming conference encourages presentations involving ongoing research
projects in one of the areas listed below:

 

Sign Linguistics

-       Syntax

-       Semantics

-       Phonology

-       Sociolinguistics

-       Sign Language Acquisition

-       Psycholinguistics

 

Deaf Education

-       Sign Bilingualism

-       Language and Literacy Development of Deaf Children

-       Language, Emotion and Cognition in Deaf Learners

-       Teacher Training

 

Submission guidelines:

 

Abstracts need to be written in English with a maximum of 400 words
(excluding references). The abstract should contain a clear focus of
analysis, methodology and a summary of the empirical findings. Submissions
are limited to a maximum of two abstracts per person whether single author
or joint author.

 

The deadline for submission is 20 September, 2012. 

Notification of acceptance will be made by 10 October, 2012.

Notification of Acceptance: 10 October 2012

Deadline for registration: 31 Dec 2012

Submission of presentation materials for interpreters: 9 Jan 2013
