SignWriting->HamNoSys

I and my colleague from the Institute for Computer Linguistics at the University of Zurich, Sarah Ebling, are planning a project to develop a script for the automatic conversion of SignWriting notations into HamNoSys notations for Swiss German Sign Language. We, like perhaps some of you, have over the years done notations in both systems and use both systems for different purposes. We would like to be able to convert some signs only notated in one system to notations in the other system. We will be starting with a SW->HNS conversion script.

To test this script, it would greatly help us to have examples of signs from other sign languages notated in both SW and HNS. Would any of you be interested in cooperating with us on this project and would have some dual-notated signs from your sign language that you could contribute to the project for script-testing purposes? You would, of course, have access to any conversion scripts that would develop from this project.

Thanks and greetings from us both,
