Dear everyone,

This is Ian Joo. I hope everyone is doing well. I am currently looking for ideophones that were originally not ideophones. An example would be Korean ideophone 부랴부랴 /phuɾjabuɾja/ ‘hastily’ which was originally not an ideophone but was 불이야 불이야 /phuɾija phuɾija/ ‘a fire! a fire!’ Is anyone aware of any similar cases? I would appreciate any help.

Sincerely,
Ian joo
