ASL sign for GRIEF

That actually was the easy part. The hard part was to get the handshapes so that they are readable. Val had sugguested the wrist and arms to show it because it wasn't clear without it. I was wondering how you would have written the sign without seeing it already. Just from the movements. I was carious to see what other views on the sign were. It may be that this is the best writing. I don't know because I haven't seen others.

I've seen it with both fist hands and a hands, but the motion is exactly right. Think of wringing out a towel, and you have the right motion.

Here it is...I think the sign for GRIEF is hard to write properly, to get the exact palm facing...there seems to be a wrist involved...does anyone have a better way to write it? This is Adam's definition for the sign for CRY...you can find it under CRY in the ASL Dictionary...Val ;-)
