Hi Steve,

I can understand the need for transparency for some signs, but I thought for hands where the hands cross, the white background was actually better so that it showed the front hand actually covering the back hand. I'd prefer WHITE backgrounds so that the hands are truly an opaque object, white and black, as the system is described, as if one is wearing white and black gloves to show the hands in motion.

This way I know, in assembling a sign, how much is showing, how much is not, and adjust the sign centering accordingly.

SignPuddle uses PNGs with transparency. If you right click and copy, you may loose the transparency setting of the image which will turn all of the transparency to black.

You have 2 options. First, you can customize a sign and select white as the background and disable transparency. With transparency off, you can right-click and copy without a problem. The other option is to right-click and save the image to you computer and then import the image file into whatever program you're using. The multi-step process will keep the transparency information.

Alternatively, I could default the signs to have white backgrounds without transparency. Then you'd need to customize the sign if you want transparency.

-Steve

I have the same problem. Right clicking on anything other than the FULL image (which includes the definition and everything else, seems to generate a black box. Is this because the symbol on the page is actually a code, not an image? I thought it was a .gif, but all I get is a black box half the time.

This may be an artifact that we have PCs and not MACs, and we use Internet Explorer, not Firefox, or a half-dozen other systems. If have tried this in IE and it often gives me a black box, in Firefox it does about half the time.

I guess you need another button or something that is "IMAGE ONLY" not definition. It is frustrating to me as well.

I do use Microsoft Word. Your idea seemed to be an improvement. The image pasted as one big black box. I am guessing that the image is there but someone is lost in the blackness.

Hello Ron and Everyone -
Is your word processor Microsoft Word? I assume so.

1. Open your Microsoft Word file.
2. Open the sign you want in SignPuddle...in your case, Immanuel.
3. Place your mouse directly on top of the sign...and Right-Click on
your mouse.

4. Choose Copy Image.

5. Click inside the Word document, and choose Paste...

OR...

on some computers you can drag and drop the sign directly from
SignPuddle into the Word document...

Try this. If you have problems write again!

Val ;-)
