This is great news, Steve! Congratulations on all you have accomplished for SignWriting over the years, giving us so many tools for writing SignWriting on computers and other technologies. The encoding of the International SignWriting Alphabet is a big part of your accomplishments. Of course it is good that SignWriting is in Unicode, but it is also too bad that it has not been improved within the Unicode world yet. But because of your developments of FSW and SWU (SignWriting Unicode), SignWriting is actually working within Unicode for us, on Plane 4. Thank you Steve for developing SWU.

So now I am looking for funding to provide the funds to help Steve develop the 2-D Font for SignWriting that we all so badly need. It will make it possible to write SignWriting more broadly on Google and on the internet.

Does anyone know of grants available for software development? I can try to write the grants, if I know there is a chance we could be noticed ...

Val ;-)
