Dear all interested in Finno-Ugric languages and cultures!

I am very happy to inform you that a collection of Udmurt short stories in
Finnish has come out! It is available now in every decent public library
and bookstore in Finland, as well as through every internet bookstore.

Murskautuneet tähdet Udmurtialaisia novelleja (Crushed stars Udmurt short
stories) is published by Atrain&Nord. Here is the link to the publisher's
page:
https://www.nordbooks.net/tuotteet.html?id=12/918843

I would like you to pay attention to the fact that Finno-Ugric nations in
Russia have not only their languages but also many forms of culture
expressed by those languages. If we would like to protect the languages, we
must pay attention to every sphere of language use, even literature.

The project will continue to two directions: 1. More short stories of
Finno-Ugric peoples, Komi, Mari, Erzya, Moksha at least, and second volume
of Udmurt short stories will be analyzed and translated into Finnish. 2.
New genres of Udmurt literature in Finnish, such as detectives, fantasy,
science fiction, but also the main classic novels of Udmurt literature.

I wish you a lot of joy and inspiration of this project and I am always
open to any kind of co-operation concerning this project, as well as
financial matters.
