I have received a brochure describing the 29th All-India Conference of
Dravidian Linguistics, with a request to circulate information about this
further, so I am using this listserv.  The conference will be held from
10-12 February, 2002 on the ISDL campus at Thiruvananthapuram (aka
Trivandrum), Kerala.  The deadline for receipt of registrations and
proposed papers is January 1, 2002.  Abstracts should be in
English and not exceed 300 words.  Submission of full-length papers
should be made by January 20th, 2002; a bound volume of the abstracts and
full papers will be supplied at the conference.

Papers are welcome on a broad range of linguistic topics that have
relevance to Dravidian Linguistics: Clinical Linguistics, Comparative
Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Experimental
Linguistics, Folklore, Grammar, Historical Linguistics, Language
Acquisition, Linguistic Theory, Mathematical Linguistics, Morphology,
Neurolinguistics, Phonetics, Phonology, Semantics, Semiotics, Sign
Language Studies, Sociolinguistics, Speech Defects, Syntax, Translation
Theory, and Typology.
