Hal,

I don't know if this is of any help to you, but I have recently chanced across mention of Thadou in an article by Francois Jacquesson in the last issue of "Linguistics of the Tibeto-Burman Area". He mentions that he worked in India with a Thadou informant. You might want to check with him. The article:

Jacquesson, François. 2001. "Person-marking in TB languages, North-Eastern India." In: Balthasar Bickel (ed.). 2000. Person and evidence in Himalayan languages. Special Issue of Linguistics of the Tibeto-Burman Area. Volume II: 24.1:113-144

As far as I know, he works at the same department as Martine Mazaudon, whose email address Jean-Luc (or Ruth?) recently sent you. Martine will certainly be able to direct your letter to Francois.

Hope that helps!

John
