Do you also speak Nepali or Tibeti [Tibetan] ? Your using 'jyu' below suggests it. Nepal's current development in MTs has only been possible with International concerns, concerns from the MT Communities itself and the positive attitude of the government also.

The government has designated them 'local languges' instead of 'Mother Tongues' but the Constitution says them  'mother tongues'. These languages are proposed for intermediate level of education. Additionally, Urdu is also taught in intermediate level. Maithili, Nepali, Newari, Sanskrit and Hindi a!

 upto Masters' level in Tribhuvan University. This is a good start, I think. I sincerely thank the Government of Nepal for its concern about mother tongue preservation.
