Cornell University's South Asia Program is delighted to announce
publication of Beginning Colloquial Sinhala: An Introductory Sinhala
Curriculum, by Drs. Theresa McGarry and Liyanage Amarakeerthi.  This
curriculum includes a student edition, teacher's guide, and a DVD  with
supplementary video and audio material recorded in Sri Lanka, as  well as
hundreds of still photos integrated into the curriculum.  The  work of
McGarry and Liyanage is accompanied by Beginning Colloquial  Sinhala:
Student Reader and Sinhala Script Workbook: Reading and
Writing with the Sinhala Alphabet, both by Mr. Bandara Herath.  See
