Thanks for sharing this news.
It is disconcerting that a researcher has been mistreated based on a flawed
concept (ie, race) and wrong attitudes, which surprisingly are still
commonly adhered to in not only science but many societies.
I would recommend that every researcher should read the AAA statement on
‘race’:
