Dear Colleagues,



I wanted to send out a quick hello as the new President of ACLA, and would like to present to you the new ACLA Executive members. These roles were approved at the General Assembly on June 2, 2020:



ACLA New Executive Council Members:

We have a dynamic new team and look forward to working with you!



ACLA plays an active role in building our scholarly community throughout the year, as well as advancing research and teaching in all areas of applied linguistics across Canada. To do so, we depend on your support.



Membership is our primary means of continuing to support the work we do and to build on our scholarly contributions and collaborations. We therefore invite you to become a member and renew your membership each year, even in those years when you may not be attending or presenting at the annual conference.

We extend a grateful thank you to those of you who have become members or already renewed their membership for the 2020 year. Again, we regret this year not being able to meet as usual for our annual conference.

In the meantime, we will share some new initiatives with you in the months ahead, particularly those that pertain to the benefits of ACLA membership beyond the annual conference. Dans les prochains mois, nous partagerons quelques nouvelles initiatives avec vous, surtout en ce qui concerne les bénéfices de votre adhésion au-delà de la conférence annuelle.
