[ACLA-CAAL] Call for candidates-Appel de candidat.e.s

Dear colleagues and ACLA Members,

I am writing you today on behalf of the ACLA/CAAL Nominating Committee, whose responsibility it is to oversee the nomination of new members to ACLA/CAAL's Executive Council. This year, the following mandates come to end:

  *   Vice-President (NOTE that this means ideally becoming president in 2024 and holding that position until 2026)
  *   Indigenous Languages Advocate (See attached document)

If any of you are interested in this role, you are asked to please get in touch with Francis Bangou, fbangou at uottawa.ca<mailto:fbangou at uottawa.ca> attaching your statement of interest (200-250 words), by Friday May 6, 2022. Please note that you need to be a member of ACLA to be nominated and to be able to vote in the election. We invite you to renew your membership as soon as possible: http://www.aclacaal.org/membership/
We will inform the membership of your candidature. Any interested ACLA members should go to http://www.aclacaal.org/acla-constitution/ and read it before confirming their interest to the Nominating Committee.
If there is more than one interested person, we will hold an election. The ballot, in case of an election, will be electronic and will be open for a period of one week immediately after the Annual Meeting
