J'ai le plaisir de vous annoncer la parution du nouveau numéro des Cahiers de l'ILOB (vol. 11, 2021) : Multilittératies et pédagogies plurilingues au 21e siècle. Réponses critiques à l'ouvrage du New London Group<https://trk.cp20.com/click/ch5v-2ipgpq-xgszgh-ccg6kv27/>. Ce numéro spécial, codirigé par Angel M. Y. Lin, Catherine Levasseur, Geneviève Brisson, Keiko Tsuchiya et Bong-gi Sohn, est maintenant disponible en ligne, en accès libre. Je vous invite à explorer les articles passionnants de ce numéro, dont plusieurs portent sur l'enseignement des langues secondes.



Résumé du numéro :



Plus de deux décennies se sont écoulées depuis la publication en 1996 dans la Harvard Education Review de l'article fondateur du New London Group, A Pedagogy of Multiliteracies : Designing social futures. Il est donc impératif d'entreprendre un examen critique de la recherche dans ce domaine afin de mettre en évidence les questions urgentes et les nouvelles voies à emprunter en recherche. Bon nombre de défis en éducation à la littératie définis par le New London Group (1996) à l'époque persistent aujourd'hui, et certains d'entre eux se sont même intensifiés.



Les récents développements dans la société ainsi que dans les technologies de l'information et de la communication créent de nouveaux défis pour l'enseignement des langues et des littératies. Combien des quatre principes de la pédagogie des multilittératies proposés par le New London Group sont encore pertinents ou nécessitent d'être reconceptualisés ?



Dans ce numéro spécial, nous vous invitons à réfléchir à ces questions autour de quatre grands thèmes :

1. Les approches plurilingues, trans/ languaging/sémiotisation
2. Le nouveau matérialisme et l'approche posthumaniste
3. L'approche actionnelle
4. Méta-analyse du texte fondateur du NLG

Critical Responses to the New London Group's 'A Pedagogy of Multiliteracies.'<https://trk.cp20.com/click/ch5v-2ipgpq-xgszgj-ccg6kv29/> This Special Issue, co-edited by Angel M. Y. Lin, Catherine Levasseur, Geneviève Brisson, Keiko Tsuchiya & Bong-gi Sohn, is now available online, in open access. I invite you to explore the great articles included in this issue, many of which focus on second language education.



Issue Abstract



Since the 1996 publication in Harvard Education Review of the seminal paper of the New London Group, 'A Pedagogy of Multiliteracies: Designing Social Futures', over two decades have elapsed and it is high time we undertook critical reviews of research and pointed out pressing issues and urgent directions of research in this area. Many of the old challenges for literacy education outlined by the New London Group (1996) back then persist today, with some of them further intensified.



New developments in society and information communication technology have presented new challenges for language and literacy education. How many of the four principles of the pedagogy of multiliteracies proposed by the New London Group are still relevant or in need of reconceptualization?



In this Special Issue, we invite you to consider these questions around four main themes:
1. The plurilingual, trans/languaging/semiotizing stance
2. The new materiality/post humanist stance
3. The action-oriented approach
4. Meta analyzing the NLG's founding text.
