Fanspeak Dictionary

Roberta Rogow authored a fanspeak dictionary in 1991 called Futurespeak,
ISBN 1-55778-347-0, published by Paragon House.

It's a mixed bag covering some science stuff, computer stuff, rpg stuff,
literary stuff, and fan stuff, with predictable results. There's not a whole
lot of etymology or sourcing, but as a glossary, and as a primer on fan
culture, it works.

Items of note:

Molniya, a polar orbiting Russian communications satellite is misspelled as
Molinya.

There's an assertion that superfan Forrest J. Ackerman claims authorship of
ego-boo. Forry shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of...
