Research interests in Southern regional dialects, AAVE (African-
American Vernacular English), and Pidgins & Creoles are
particularly desirable. Candidates must have strong teaching
abilities in general linguistics and in one or more of the following:
general sociolinguistics, varieties of American English, language and
gender, discourse analysis, and general morphology.
