Greetings from Takayama! I finally found an interent machine in city hall, and I have about two more lunch minutes to write this.
LETS GO is correcting the Big Apple! After only a five year wait! HOORAY!!....BTW, on Abuzz.com, the question was asked again. Maybe one of these days, The New York Times, the paper of record...

SEE NO EVIL, SAY NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL
These three monkeys are on a Nikko temple that dates back a few hundred years. Anyone have a good explanation of this?

SANGOKUJIN
Sangokujin are the white trash of Japan--people from Korea or Taiwain or their descendants. The term began use just after WWII, and was used in the Japan Times yesterday by the Tokyo Governor (check on Dow Jones database). Is Sangokujin in OED?

CHATTY PATTY/CATHY
On a bullet train, one fellow traveler said she was a Chatty Patty. This brings up my extensive doll knowledge. Chatty Cathy was a doll; Chatty Patty was her friend. Does this show up in the RHHDAS or on Nexis?
