'kife'/'parking garage'

Here in schizophrenic Southern California you will see signs that say
"Parking Garage" and hear most people say "I'm parked in the structure".
Don't know if they're refugees from the east or midwest, but chances are
they're not among those rarest of creatures, the native Californian.
