Additional comments, if I can be indulged.

The search function on word processors makes a
consistent "which hunt" an almost trivial task.

I often use "which" in everyday speaking in places I
insist on using "that" when writing.  Just as I use
the colloquial "since" frequently in speaking in
places I diligently use "because" or "as" when
writing.
