Try "el camino real" in California. Un "real" in
Panama, Un "real" in Ecuador.  Of course, El camino
real in California is a rather long stretch of road
 which would translate into the The "Royal" road, or
the Kings Highway.  Un Real in Panama is a dime in US
coinage, and un Real in Ecuador, it it still exists,
had a value of a scant percentage of a Real from
Panama, Totally appropriate for tipping lousy service
and waiters in Ecuador.
