Might 'Japanese Pretzels' be the classic version of the 'Poky' snack? Poky,
for those who don't know, are skinny pretzel type sticks, unsalted, and half
dipped in chocolate or a flavored cream style sweet.

The name Poky is slightly onomatapoeic (naturally Outlook Express'
spellchecker doesn't know this one), coming from the sound they make when
they snap. Allegedly. Here in the west, it's used as the generic name,
though there's at least one manufacturer that uses it as its product name. I
can't speak for other companies' usage of of the term, though. Maybe
somebody more familiar with the culture can help?

I think Lu makes a chocolate version they call "Mandarins" or something
like...
