     Not much in the Tamony files for these requests.  John Mariani's
ENCYCLOPEDIA OF AMERICAN FOOD & DRINK states that "pina colada" was first
printed in 1923, but really originated at the Caribe Hilton Hotel and Casino
in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1952.  It became popular after a dinner there in
1954.
    I ran across "blondies" in BON APPETIT in 1972.  Does OED have this
somewhere in its secret files?
